Formulate programmes for socio-economic growth, taking into account the geographical characteristics of the area.

Annual Development Plans

Prepare annual Panchayat development plans and present them before the Grama Sabhas for approval.

02. Supervision of Key Development Sectors

Agriculture

Promote farming, seed distribution, fertiliser supply, and irrigation.

Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development

Support animal husbandry and dairy development activities.

Environment and Natural Resources

Promote soil conservation and social forestry.

Other Development Sectors

Oversee irrigation, fisheries, promotion of small-scale industries, public works, and housing.

03. Energy and Infrastructure

Rural Electrification

Support rural electrification and the improvement of essential electrical facilities.

Non-Conventional Energy

Promote the use of non-conventional and renewable energy sources.

Streetlight Maintenance

Ensure the installation, maintenance, and proper functioning of streetlights.

04. Project Implementation and Monitoring

Timely Implementation

Ensure that all projects under the Committee are completed efficiently and within the stipulated time.

Progress Review

Evaluate project progress and introduce corrective measures wherever necessary.

Coordination and Public Participation

Coordinate development activities based on the recommendations of Working Groups and Grama Sabhas.
